About - Peter Dinnan

Dual New Zealand / Australian citizenship. Born 1955, Wellington, New Zealand. Currently living in Brisbane, Australia.

Since 1981 I've been quite fortunate to have worked professionally in fairly diverse areas of photography plus related professions—General Practice (ie weddings, portraits), Photo Copy & Restoration specialisation (pre digital), Technical & Medical, Stage Performance (mainly stage plays but also dance, music & opera), Pre Press, Graphic Design, Traditional Darkroom printing (colour neg/pos, black & white).

As photographer: my stage performance work (film and prints) is in permanent collection with the National Library of New Zealand.

As a trad darkroom photographic printer I've printed for a number of leading New Zealand photographers (books and exhibitions) including the colour prints for a major exhibition by NZ born, internationally acclaimed Magnum photographer Brian Brake—China: The 1950's (Museum of New Zealand).

The images here are non commissioned personal work—1989-1999 (film) and 2009-Present (digital).

All Island Bay Coast and partial Along The Way images are film. All other images are digital.
